Is he staying or is he gone?
Before the all-star break ...

Is he staying or is he gone?

Before the all-star break most of us thought the Toronto Raptors were a lock for one of the eight playoff spots, well i can tell you now we were all wrong.. after the all-star bear the Raptors couldn’t win a game to save their lives add to that the injuries to Chris Bosh in the final weeks of the season put an end to any chances we had to make the playoffs.

I have to say if i were a betting man i would have put everything i had on the Raptors making the playoffs and not only making it there but getting a top spot maybe #4 or #5,well they certainly had me fooled.

Bosh expected to opt out of the final year of his $17 million contract with the Toronto Raptors and expects to earn the NBA’s maximum salary on his next contract,Bosh averaged career-highs with 24.0 points and 10.8 rebounds this year and will definitely be on the list of many NBA teams this summer.

The five-time All-Star insists he has no idea where he’ll be playing next season. The desire to play in the post season may ultimately decide where bosh ends up ..

Here are some quotes from Chris Bosh.

“I wish I knew,” Bosh added. “I’d let everybody know so that everybody would leave me alone.”

“No matter what happens, me and Bryan agreed to work together,”

“I want to play in the post-season. I want to advance. I’ve been playing seven years. It’s time to start thinking about stuff like that.”

“Looking at our situation, I think there has to be changes only because we didn’t make the playoffs” Bosh said. “It’s not like we’re building off success.”

“As I’ve gotten older, I’ve looked at other teams and their success and how they do their business in order to be successful and you have to jump over it.”

“I want to play in the postseason, I want to advance. I’ve been playing seven years. It’s time to start thinking about stuff like that. I know I’m still a young player but I remember when I got drafted guys that were 25 and 26, now they’re on their last deals.”

Nobody knows what decision chris bosh will make or the team he will end up playing for..many of his teamates cannot imagine the raptors without Chris Bosh will they get their wish?

I personally think he deserves every penny he gets this summer,he has proven he is an allstar in this league the numbers speak for themselves, many people question his work ethic but when he is on the court no one plays harder than CB4,if the Raptors can pay a lazy bum like Hedo Turkoglu $55 million are you telling me they shouldn’t give Chris Bosh the max contract ?

So what do you think is he gone or is he staying ?

Well that decision is now in the hands of Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo.

Even without allstar Chris Bosh the Toronto Raptors got the job done with a win on the road against the Nets.I cannot remember the last time i saw the Raptors without Bosh in the lineup.

Tonight the Raptors had seven players in double figures ..Jarrett Jack 18 points and Jose Calderon 16 points with the big man Rasho Nesterovic having a season high 16 points.

I know tonight’s game may not be a big deal to many seeing the opponent was the Nets but the Raptors has shown that they can get the job done with their main man out of the lineup. What this game does is prove the depth the Raptors has, not alot of teams can have their allstar injured and have enough guys stepping up to the plate.

I can sit here and be cynical knowing that the raptors did play the worse team in the league and chalk this up as a fluke or i can acknowledge that my Toronto Raptors does have the talent to get the job done without their best player no matter who they play.

I must say the win tonight put my mind at ease,i was in a panic mode earlier when i heard CB4 will not make the trip and i wondered if the team can come together and get a win on the road, but the Raptors answered that early in the game ..

Good win now onto the next match !

It looks like Chris Bosh and the bench players were the only ones who showed up for this game .. the rest of the starting five only had 27 points combined.Of that 27 Hedo Turkoglu had a whopping 1 point in 29 minutes.. note the sarcasm ..Turkoglu missed all five shots he took.

CB4 with his usual solid contribution 32 points 10 rebounds,Bargnani threw his mouthguard down in disgust after missing a buzzer-beating jumper..that is probably the most emotion i have seen from Bargs all season.

Who would of thought we can loose this game being up 97-92 with 37 seconds to go on home court well thats what happened.

“These are tough games because we haven’t played in a week,” Bosh said. “They played last night and they were able to shake their rust off.”

Excuses excuses excuse i am tired of hearing them good teams find a way to win no matter what tonight the raptors didn’t.They allowed a team that had a five-game losing streak to beat them on home court.

Notes
I guess the luck ran out with those Huskies jerseys.
I hope this is the game where we get the rust off and get back to winning.

29 games left 14 at home 15 on the road.

I told y’all there ain’t no better power forward in the nba,my man Chris Bosh won the allstar game for the East making the winning free throws with 5.0 seconds left.Do ya thing CB4 repping the Toronto Raptors.Chris Bosh is a Dallas native so it must feel good to play well in his hometown.

I must admit i wasn’t planning to watch this game because the last couple of allstar games were a joke.. but this was actually a good game, overall it was one of the best allstar sunday’s i have seen in a while.

Man i would have loved to be there in that stadium.. that place is huge, 108,713 people! The largest crowd to watch a basketball game, i don’t even think the Dallas Cowboys got a crowd that big during the NFL season.

The Eastern Conference edged the West 141-139.

Note
R&B star Usher kicked things off earlier ..but that half time show was sweet Alicia Keys and pop-Latin diva Shakira.

Demar Derozan did us proud at the 2010 allstar game .. the rookie was the runner up with 49% of the voting thats how close it was .. he wasn’t great and none of the contestants were .. but he was good enough to almost win it all ..

Would have been nice to see the trophy coming back to the tdot though .. but its cool.. we will get it next year.

I know many who thought Demar should have won .. was the voting influenced ?

It was good to see Reggie Evans in uniform and on the court tonight scoring two points in five minutes,we will be needing him for the last 30 games in the season and the playoffs .. yes i said it, we are going to make the playoffs no doubt !

Chris Bosh added another double double with 23 points and 12 rebounds.Big four point play by Jose Calderon with less that two minutes left in the game.

My Raptors made an 11-1 run to start the third quarter while the 76ers seem to be shooting blanks.

Antoine Awesome Wright stripped Williams, Bargnani hit a 3-pointer and then made two free throws giving the Raptors a 102-93 lead with 32 seconds left. Toronto ended the game on an 11-0 run.

Winning streak now up to eight games and 14 of 15 at home.

A few weeks ago i was one of the many people calling for mr wright to be traded, but he surely made his critics eat their words as of late, over the last 6 games he has been just that AWESOME lets check the stats.

@Nyk 25 mins	5-6 FG, 3-3 (3pt shooting), 5 rebounds,	1 assists, 13 pts
Ind 36 mins	6-10 FG, 3-4 (3pt shooting), 6 rebounds,	2 assists, 15 pts
@Ind 33 mins	0-8 FG, 0-5 (3pt shooting), 2 rebounds,	4 assists, 4 pts
Njn 38 mins	6-10 FG, 3-6 (3pt shooting), 7 rebounds,	0 assists, 18 pts
Sac 22 mins	6-7 FG, 2-3 (3pt shooting), 5 rebounds,	4 assists, 16 pts

Wright’s now averaging 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 threes over his last six games and has been one of the reasons Toronto Raptors are on this streak.

All eyes may be focused on the double double machine Chris Bosh, but guys like Awesome Wright and Sonny Weems are the ones that have been doing it big in the last few games and they deserve as much credit as the lead man CB4.

Do you think i am giving him too much credit ? Nah i don’t think so, like everyone else in the league a player deserves credit whenever they play well,it is only fair that he gets the the props, seeing that a few weeks ago i wanted him out of toronto but i am such a forgiving person that i am willing to give him another chance.

Lets hope that Antoine Wright can continue his impressive play for my Toronto Raptors.

Short-handed but still walk out of the ACC with a win .. Sonny Weems stole the show tonight with career highs 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Sonny Weems is one of those Raptors players that brings the enery to the team ,tonight was no different helping my Raptors come back from 12 points down in the second quater.Did you see that inbound alley-oop dunk from Jarrett Jack.

Even with all the injuries Jose Calderon (right ankle), DeMar DeRozan (right ankle) and Hedo Turkoglu (facial fracture) we still defended the home court, where we are now six in a row.

Jack started despite flu like symptoms and finished with 17 points and nine assists.

Yo Antoine Wright had 18 points and 7 boards tonight dude has been on fire ! I don’t know about you but i hope he stays hot .Andrea Bargnani with 20 points 5 boards tonight.

Eh ! I wonder what is going through DeMar DeRozan’s mind right now seeing his boy Sonny Weems playing this good in the starting lineup. He is back in the lineup on sunday vs Sacramento Kings lets see what happens.

Raptors top 100 points for the 15th consecutive games

Feel good stories

It was good to see Kris Humphries in the tdot-o again

Chris Bosh had 26 points and 15 rebounds, Andrea Bargnani scored 17 points as my Toronto Raptors won their fifth straight game.

Jarrett Jack scored 16 points against his former team today.

Seven Raptors reached double figures with the Raptors shooting a season-best 60.2 percent

Hedo Turkoglu went out early in the game after taking an elbow to the face from Mike Dunleavy.

Sonny Weems is playing well in the starting lineup … watch out Demar you may loose your spot

The bench was big as usual with 45 points tonight leading the way Antoine Wright with 15 points.

Surprises

The consistent play from Antoine Wright , i am really impressed with the way Wright and Belinelli have been playing in the last 5 game.. they have really stepped up there game and getting more minutes as a result.

Concerns

The Raptors are still turning the ball over too often, tonight we turned it over 14 times that only lead to 13 point.

Allen Iverson

Dwyane Wade

LeBron James

Kevin Garnett

Dwight Howard

Chris Bosh

Rajon Rondo

Joe Johnson

Gerald Wallace

Paul Pierce

Derrick Rose

Al Horford

My boy Rondo made it as i knew he would so did our very own Chris Bosh . Paul Pierce shouldn’t be there IMO, i would give Andre Iguodala his spot, i got mad love for KG but CB4 deserves that starting spot.another switch i would make would move my boy Rondooooo into the starting lineup with Allen Iverson on the bench.

The 2009-2010 Western All-Stars

Steve Nash

Kobe Bryant

Carmelo Anthony

Tim Duncan

Amare Stoudemire

Kevin Durant

Chris Paul

Dirk Nowitzki

Brandon Roy

Zach Randolph

Deron Williams

Pau Gasol

I wouldn’t change anything in the west good to see Kevin Durant making it,that boy got game.
